LM3481 thermo issue

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM3481
Hello
I am currently design a Buck boost converter by using the LM3481.
Basic Data are :
Input voltage 10-30V
Output voltage 15V
Output current up to 2A
N-Mosfet is a fdms86500
Inductor is a 4u7 uH dual coil (the same Type which are using in the EVAL-Kit)
Basicaly, the Design is working well, but i think, the Design will have thermo Problems, specially with
high Input Vortage and high Output current.
The LM3481 and the mosfet will Be very Hot in that Case.
My questions are :
- is the fdms86500 a good Choice ?
- is it useful to implement a extra push-pull Gate Driver Between the LM and the mostet ?
- is it useful to Change the switching Frequency to avoid a overheat of the LM ?
- unfortunalty, the Package of the LM don't Support any heatsinks...
- did you have other Suggestion to reduce the Heating in Full load Condition ?
Mans thanks in Advance and best regards
Marco
