bq20z75 - ResetData and WDResetData.......

Dear all,

Anybody having an opinion of expected read value from flash (using 0x57 and 0X58 command (except lowest as possible) ? The reason for my question is that our application is operating in a noisy environment and I have planned to use the returned values from these commands as an indicator for the probability of memory corruption caused by EMI. Does this make sense?

Are there any way I can reset the ResetData and WDReset ? I have experienced that the value after programming the senc file the value I get is 0100 (0x57) and 0000 (0x58) but once I am upgrading with my DFI file I have much higher values.

Best regards

Kjell

  • Kjell,

There can be Full Resets recorded due to normal power-up. You should not see Partial Resets or Watchdog Resets. These are indications that something is not performing properly. ESD is a common problem that results in Partial resets.

These registers are only cleared after the senc file has been reloaded.

Thank you so much for your info. I will use this info for diagnosing if something goes wrong. I regard this as a valuable tool checking out if  ESD might cause any problems when we have high current spikes loading the battery.

    Best regards
