UCC3911 EVM Availability

Colleagues, there is a document ( http://focus.ti.com/lit/ug/sluu088/sluu088.pdf ) that tells that there is an EVM for UCC3911. There is no possibility to order it at the product page, please advise if the EVM is available.

Does it mean that the UCC3911 is not recommended for new designs? In this case what you would suggest as an alternative solution for UCC3911?

Dmitry,

The UCC3911 itself is still available and we have no plans that I know of to make it obsolete. It's just the EVM which we stopped building for some reason that I don't know. I hope you can still evaluate some samples on your own proto board. The app note SLUA091 has some good information and an example design like the EVM.
