bq77pl900 temperature protection

hello ,all

the bq77pl900 is fixed overtemperature protection ,is  only overtemperature protection,  no low temperature protection(for example: -10 degree)

how can i slove this problem?   thanks

    this functionality can be added by using the bq77PL900 in host mode.  there is not under temperature thresholds programmable in the bq78PL900.

    Hi,

    I have a problem to exit from the OVT protection in host mode.....maybe I haven't well understood how this protection works in Host mode.

    1) OverTemperature condition : Fets are OFF and the OVT bit in Status Register set

    2) Send the command in order to turn on Tout again

    3) Wait till  the OVT bit in Status Register set return to 0

    4) LTCR procedure

    5) Turn on the Fets

    Then the point 3 never occurs and I don't understand what is my mistake.

    The bit must be cleared by LTCLR, and the fault update must be enabled by TOUT.  Basically reverse 3 & 4, or:

    1. OVTEMP detected during TOUT pulse
    2. System cools
    3. Set TOUT =1
    4. Toggle LTCLR high, low
    5. (OVTEMP clears)
    6. Set TOUT=0 
    7. Turn on FETs
