about bq2084--v143 sleep mode

i use bq2084-v143(DS=0,NR=0,config), when the 2084 enters sleep mode

if the smbus lines are high (communicate with ev2300),2084 wake up, the battery may be charged and discharged,

if the smbus lines are low , the battery may be discharged ,but may not be charged (the charge fet is turned off )

my problem is,

why only via use smbus to wake up?

Hi:

If NR=1 or PRES pin connect to ground, CHG FET whether it is on when discharge?

hi mike ,

yes, if NR=1 or pres pin connect to ground , it can discharge ,but can not charge

during sleep mode ,how can i wake up bq2084 via charge?

You can try adding a small capacitor from the PACK + to one of the comm lines to wake it up when the charger is applied. Then, it should not go back to sleep as long as the current is above the Sleep Current Threshold. Or, you could just disable Sleep mode.
