FS bit of OUTPUT_CONTROL register in bq77PL900

According to the datasheet page 48, if FS =1, the UV detect delay time will be shorten.

Try to set FS bit=1 in "stand-alone" mode, I found it is the same as FS bit =0. ie. the delay time is the same (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 sec)

So, FS bit is only for host-control mode?

  • FS can only be written high in host mode.  It does remain set when the part is changed back to standalone mode, just as the DSG and CHG commands bits remain set, but operation returns to the standalone configuration which does not include a FS EEPROM bit.

    Yes, FS is only effective for host-control mode.
