Hello,
how do i harvest AC Sources with low Voltage (BQ25504)? I think a bridge Rectivier is no good idea...
What is the minimum required voltage for the BQ25504 to charge a capacitor or supercapacitor?
I have a low-voltage piezoelectric source that I would like to connect to a bridge rectifier + smoothing capacitor, and then to the BQ25504 but am worried about its ability to charge. My assumption is that anywhere from 0.5 to 1V will be available after the rectifier stage.
Any extra information is appreciated!
If VSTOR < 1.8V, Vin needs to be at least 330mV for the less efficiency "cold start" boost converter to operate.. Once VSTOR>1.8V, Vin can drop to 130mV and the normal boost converter will operate.
