TLC5971 - Iout variation with temperature

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TLC5971

The data sheet specifies load and line regulation including temperature but not with temperature alone.

The reason for the request is that I'm planning on using the device at a fixed Iout_max = 2mA (fixed) and a fixed Vcc of 3.3V.

Help appreciated

Michael

  •  Hello Michael,

According to figure 14, typical characteristics of OUTPUT CURRENT vs OUTPUT VOLTAGE on TLC5971 datasheet, in case of 60mA setting, Iout=60.1mA at 1.0V VOUT and -40 deg C, Iout=59.9mA at 1.0V VOUT and +25 deg C and Iout=59.7mA at 1.0V VOUT and +85deg C . The devication is less than +/- 0.5%. I think the deviation at 2mA would be similar level as typical parforemance. How much deviation can you accept? Accoring to the datasheet, maximim deviation is +/- 7% in all device, all temperature and all VCC range condition.
