UCD9222 unused pins when connected to just one rail

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UCD9222

Dear all,

In our power supply design, we are using UCD9222 to control just one power rail.

Can we leave unconnected the following pins?

  • pin 3: CSA2
  • pin 8: FLT2
  • pin 9: VIDS2
  • pin 14: DPWM2A
  • pin 15: PG2
  • pin 17: PowerGood
  • pin 22, 23 & 24: VID2x
  • pin 39 & 40: EAP2N/P

Thanks in advance.

Best regards,

Ricardo

  • If just a single rail is configured in the project file then these pins can be left floating.

If two rails are configured but the second is left unused then I would ground the CSA2, FLT2, VIDS2, VID2x pins and short the EA2P/N pins together.  The others can be left open.
