If not use this PRES pin, bq20z45 PRES should be connected to GND.

Whether it serial one 100Kohm resistor to GND for reduce ESD risk?

And not connect PRES with Tout with 100K resistor;

Mike,

If you are not going to remove the pack from the system, then you can set the NR bit high in the Operation CFG B register and the device will ignore the PRES pin. If you want to keep the NR but set low, then you can pull the PRES pin low through a 100 kohm resistor.
