concerning with BQ77910, how long it takes to monitor all cells?

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ76925, BQ77PL900, BQ77910A, BQ76PL536

Hello.

I have 2 questions about BQ77910

1. Can I read the voltage of each cells?

2. I've searched How much spending time for monitoring all cells in the datas of BQ77910.

But, I can't find this information. So, If you know it. Please let me know.

And attached image contains what i'm finding. See the red-box plz. Thanks

  • 1. No, the bq77910A does not have voltage outputs or prepare cell voltages in a format which can be read from the device.  To read voltage from a device you need a part with an AFE or monitor function such as the bq77PL900, bq76925, or bq76PL536.

    2. The bq77910A simultaneously and continuously monitors all configured cells and compares them against the OV and UV thresholds except during balancing.  Balancing operates on a duty cycle so that the time without monitoring during balancing is less than the 250 ms period.  Response time to various voltage step sizes will vary, using ZEDE turns off the programmed delay so response to steps might be more easily observed if desired.

Thank you for your prompt reply.

    I'm going to change a device BQ76PL536 or BQ77PL900

    1.  In BQ76PL536, I'm also wondering that monitoring time in 6-cells.

    2. Would you share with me the application schematics for stacking BQ77PL900(2 devices or more)?
