Hello,
Last year I've built a wireless transmitter board based on the typical application schematic of the BQ500210 without the MSP430. My initial problem was that the transmitter failed to start and I received 7 blinks on both LEDs indicating that there was a problem. After tweaking the PCB design using the SLUA635A application note I could get the transmitter running, but this time the communication does not start when I put the receiver EVM on the transmitter coil. I compared my board to the transmitter EVM and see that all signals are the same, the transmitter sends the ping signals, but when the receiver is present communication fails to start.
I've raised this issue on the E2E forum last September: http://e2e.ti.com/support/power_management/wireless_power/f/693/t/197861.aspx but did not get an answer as unfortunately my query was hijacked and in January my question was automatically set to verified.
Could you please share your thought on what might be wrong? If needed I can share the schematic and the gerber files for reference.
Thanks in advance,
Zoltan
