UCD9090 with a pair of TMP101 on the same bus.

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMP101, UCD9090

Hi Team,

Customer has an existing power management IC, UCD9090. They need to add a pair of TMP101 and need to put them on the same bus as they are short of available IO in that area.

Looking through the data sheet, it is not at all obvious whether they are compatible or not. Customer knows the address of the UCD9090 can be steered all over the place to avoid conflicts.  They're just not sure about putting the TMP101 on a PMBus or not.

Will this work?

Thanks,

Shashank

  • Hello,

Received this response from the factory:

I don’t see any problem here. From the UCD9090 point of view there wouldn’t be any conflict as long as a valid and unique PMBus address is assigned to the device. The UCD9090 responds only when that address is called out.

    Regards,

    Shashank
