Hi,

Is there any way to avoid entering the burst mode operation at light load?

    Only by adding a preload; of course this will impact your overall efficiency.  You can add an offset to CS, controlled by STATUS, that will basically kick the converter out of burst at a lower power level (refer to section 4 of SLUA399) in exactly the same way you would use to eliminate any audible noise, but this will not avoid burst mode completely as it will still transition into this at very light load or no-load.
