BQ34Z110

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ34Z110

Hallo

We are developing as system around the BQ34z110 Gas gauge the system DC Link voltage is 48-60V this should be fine for the BQ device however we have vehicles that runs on 72V nominal DC link volatges is there a possibility to use the Bq34z on thsi voltage level from the data sheet it seems only possible up to 65V

any info on this would be appreciated

Thank you very much

  • The device does not measure the cell stack voltage directly, so the 65V datasheet value is not based on an electrical spec value. The device uses a voltage divider network to scale the cell stack voltage to the BAT input and a register to set the stack voltage. You can scale the resistor divider to a different ratio and scale the register accordingly to use the device with higher voltages.

Thank you very much for your reply ,I thought this was the case but was not 100% sure ,this is great news
