We have used TI's power module - PTN78000AAH. Unfortunately, we purchaged the part - PTN78000WAH. Can we used the PTN78000WAH as PTN78000AAH to output -3.3V and -5V?

PTN78000WAH is designed for step down voltage only. The PTN78000AAH is a buck boost regulator with different compensation and voltage limits.
PTN78000WAH is not recommended for replacement PTN78000AAH

I don't know the different between "buck boost" and "step down".
It seems they are same serial from their part number. Actual, they are pin-pin compatible.
PTN78000WAH is not electrically compatible with PTN78000AAH. There are different compensation components between the two units.
