Hi, I am on the Chemistry Select Cycling Page of BqEasy and all the buttons are grayed out. I put together the cycling circuit (I used a relay), and I want to test it, but again, everything is grayed out on that page. Why is that?

Hi Diane,
Make sure your Cells are properly connected to the evm and the charger is connected as well. Check to see if you can send commands like 0041(reset) and then 0021 (enables IT algorithm) in the manufacturers access on the SBS screen. If all communication is alright, then the initialize button shouldn't be grayed out, hit that and follow the instructions.Which bq device are you using?
thanks
Onyx
Hi Onyx,
I'm using the BQ27500 fuel gauge v1.30. I will follow your above recommendations.
Onyx,
What is the SBS screen?? Is that the IC2 pro screen? I am using BQeasy 0.9.90. I don't see any reference to SBS screen.
Hi Diane,
The device you are using is a single cell device and the I2C pro screen is mostly used by the single cell devices while the SBS screen by multicell. The single cell group will be able to help you better on this since I am not the expert on single cell devices. However, the I2C proscreen is the equivalent of the SBS screen I made mention of.
Thanks
Onyx
Diane,
It is the same as this. Simply indicate the part number when you post your questions and the appropiate group will respond accordingly.
thanks

Hi, I am using BQ27500 fuel guage. I am using my prototype board which has the fuel guage i2c pinned out to the EVM 2300. The battery charger (bq24073) also resides on my prototype board. The battery I am using is an UltraLife P/N UBP001. I don't find it in the list of chemistries. I am in BQEasy, 0.9.90 at the 4C. Do Chemistry Select Cycling Screen. I have the unit hooked up. I know it is communicating because I go to the DataRam Tab and hit refresh and it reads correct values (like voltage, temperature etc). But, on the 4C screen, everything is grayed out. I can't select anything. For example, I built the cycling circuit as shown on that page and I'd like to test it out, but it is all grayed out. Why is this?
Thanks

I haven't seen any activity on my latest post. I would like to make some progress on getting this golden file developed.
