INT- Fusion Digital Power Designer issues

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UCD9244, UCD74120

Good Morning,

I have a question concerning the issues that a customer is facing using the tool. I recap here what is the situation in order to provide him a coherent and well formulated answer.

The setup is UCD9244 + UCD74120 with 12A output current, Vout=1V and Fsw=560KHz. Three are the scenarios that I personally verified and I confirm the problems highlighted by the customer.

1)      FP1109-R47-R has a wrong DCR saved in the software which affects of course the selection of Rs1 and Ratt ( i checked that it is actually wrong and not just an error of displaying).

2)      The solution using  IHLP4040DZERR47(Vishay) is the only one actually matching among the three tried.

3)      The solution with 744314047 (Wurth) seems completely wrong : the attenuation of the signal with such a small resistance would be too strong (the time constants L/DCR and RC differ for sereral orders of magnitude!)

I kindly ask to provide me a detailed explaination and a possible solution in order to forward it to the customer.

I thank you in advance for your precious support.

Best Regards,

Nicola Cellurale
