Question relating to MPPT application of the BQ25504 and BQ24650

I have  a thermoelectric module with an open circuit voltage of 8.8V and MPP of 4.3V. I am looking for an MPPT device that will be used to charge a 6V rechargeable lead acid battery. Reading over the datasheets of the above mentioned devices it seems my TEM's open circuit voltage is too large for use with the BQ25504, which has a maximum input voltage of 5.5V. Looking then towards the BQ24650 it seems my TEM output would not always fall in the 5-25V input range.
Does anyone have any suggestion for a design that would allow me to use one of these MPPT devices?
