Can TI expert give me a comment if LM5118/LM5118Q be used to design a high power battery charger from different DC source. The power source may comes from any type of green energy like solar panel? Thanks.

Hi
It has not been tried with LM5118. Since both input and output voltage will not be regulated, I guess it will be hard to control.
Please refer TI's Solar Optimizer reference design. http://www.ti.com/solution/solar_micro_converter_dc_dc_power_optimizer
