Hello,
I have a PCB that provides USB charging current of 400-500mA using a LiPo battery and TPS61240.
This works fine with mobile phones, but we have found that tablets require about twice the charging
current, so we want to move up to a converter that provides 1.0-1.2A at 5.0V with maximum efficiency.
It would also be nice if it did not require many external components. Board space and heating are not
bit issues as I have some room to work with. Someone had suggested the TPS61200, but I would like
to get the opinion of an expert, TI or otherwise, that has worked with providing higher currents for USB
devices.
Thanks in advance for your time and consideration.
Regards,
