Absolut maximum VCC voltage on UCC2802?

I try to use UCC2802 in my dc-dc converter. In datasheet there is ABSOLUTE MAXIMUM RATINGS VCC=12V. But chip starts work only from 12.5V on VCC. So what is maximum value of VCC I can use with this chip?

    Since no one else has responded, I will make a comment.  The abs max rating of 12 V is for direct connection to a low impedance source.  The VCC pin is intended to be used with a current limiting resistor.  the 12 V maximum may be exceeded if the current into VCC is limited to less than 30 mA.  That 30 mA includes the Iq for the device as well as the drive current for the external FETs,  This in noted in several places in the datasheet.
