Design Requirement: 15 to 20V i/p, 5 V o/p, 3 A.  Based on web bench circuit , layout is done . when it is powered up...we are getting 5v o/p with no load condition . when  load is connected  o/p voltage drops linearly to the zero. kindly advise us on the same.

    Hi Sanju,

    Is the schematic for the board you tested identical to the first design WEBENCH outputs? If not can you share the final schematic and component selection.

    Also it sounds like this is on a new layout. Please make sure the layout follows the recommendations on page 34 of the TPS54340 datasheet. Layout is important so I recommend comparing this to the EVM layout or even ordering an EVM to build up your circuit first to prototype the design. Can you also share your layout and I can take a look at it?

    Lastly can you share a few waveforms in the loaded condition? The first few signals I would like to see are VIN, VOUT, and SW. If you see anything which you think looks irregular please show it clearly.

    Can you post your schematic and some waveforms that illustrate your condition?  Make sure to include the switching node waveform.
