Hi,

I am currently trying to get the BQ24450 to charge my 12V 12Ah battery I brought from RS. The battery can handle a constant voltage charge with up to 3A.

The values for resistor within the circuit I am using are:

Ra= 68k

Rb=15k

Rc=47k

Rd=470k

Rt=15

Risens=10

Rp=180

All those values are in ohms. I am also using a 3A diode and a BD348 transistor. The circuit I am using is from the data sheet which includes the pre charge for heavily discharged batteries.

Could someone suggest where I am going wrong?

Please provide the input voltage range; desired bulk and float voltage and charge current desired.

Hi Charles

I am unsure what input voltage I require. Currently I am using a 0-32V 2A Thurlby Powersupply. I assumed the voltage had to be 15v?

Float voltage is 13.8V for this battery 2.3V/Cell

Bulk Charge I am unsure of too, its my first time doing something like this. I don't really mind how long it takes to charge as long as its not a very long time.

Charge current is around 2A, the battery current has to be less than 3.6A
