Problem in learning Chemistry with BQ27510EVM using EV2300 Interface

Hello,

I am having BQ27510EVM board and EV2300 interface.

I have connected Pack+ &  Pack -  of   lithium ion battery (Manufacturer :Ultralife, P/N: UBBL 19 -FL) to bq27510EVM ,also the I2C connector.

i have gone throgh the link below for learning the chemistry cycling .

But  have some doubts which I need further clarification.

 

1)      In the step 4C (do chemistry select cycling) do we need to add any extra circuitry externally shown in the screen  . It is showing some extra circuit   While  hitting on the “click to enlarge the button”.

 

2)      On the same screen, when I hit the “start test” button it is taking so much time  displaying the Screen as shown below

 

 

I am not sure whether the process is in progress or not.

3) Also do i need to connect any load for enabling the chemistry selection?

So please guide me how to proceed.
