TPS23756 in Non-PoE Application

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS23756EVM

I am adapting the TPS23756EVM design to a non-PoE, 12V-only application.  The high-voltage capability of this design reduces the need for surge protection in automotive power applications, which can reach 80V.

I would like a sanity check on connections for the following pins:

Vss - Tie to RTN, since Hot Swap is not needed

DEN - leave open?  Don't need PoE signature

PPD - tie to Vss

CLS - leave open? Classification not used

APD - tie to ARTN or through Zener-protected resistor to Vdd?

The remaining pins would be connected as they are in the EVM.
