Make sure to run the installer and program as administrator to avoid this problem. Right click on executable to run as administrator.

You can also update the shortcut properties and set it up to run as administrator when you double click the shortcut

Hi Tom,

I have tried re installing the bq evsw and also the chem updater , thing is that i cant see the list of chemistries after the first run, please see the screen shots which are in sequence and i click the ok button each time , if i want to change the chemistry i need to run the chem updater setup each time which is pretty annoying

Please also tell me how can i update the flash for a cell part number which is not present in the list as i cant see the cell i'm using , if i venture to choose a cell which matches the chemistry ,container type (eg 18650) and mAh rating would i get proper results ??

I have an admin profile on my workstation and therefore assumed that when i launch the evsw it would naturally run as admin , but it didnt ,so i ran it explicitly as admin and so i'm able to do chem selection but the error posted on the screenshot in the first post still appears

I also have another question about chemistry selection , can we take it up here or should i post it in a new thread ??

Yes, it is kind of odd but every installer needs to be run using right click and "run as admin" even though the user is the administrator.

Is the chemistry updater also installed using "run as admin"?

yes it was installed as admin

We found a problem with the bqEVSW program for the bq34z100 and have updated software. It will be uploaded to the TI website, but may take a few days. Please update your e2e biography or send me an email address and I will send you a copy.
