BQ24032A Problem

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ24032A

Hi,

about BQ24032A

1. How to determin charge suspend( temperature)  ?

2. About timer fault, how to set the time ?

3. When will happen "Sleep mode"?

4. How to determine when the battery does not exist?

5. How to set charging current?

Thanks~

BR,

Driscoll

  • Dear sir, 1. On page 6 of the PDF SLUS618H (Data sheet) you can find : TEMPERATURE SENS COMPARATOR V(LTF) | High voltage threshold | Temp Fault as V(TS) > V(LTF)| 2.5 V V(HTF) | Low voltage threshold | Temp Fault as V(TS) temperature = 40°C 2. On page 7 of SLUS618H you can find : TIMERS K(TMR) | Time Set Factor | t(CHG) = K(TMR) x R(TMR) | 0.36 s/Ohm For example R(TMR) = 39K, t(CHG) = 0.36 x 39 k = 14040 s = 234 mn 3. Only battery will feed OUT pin. BQ24032 enters sleep mode if both USB and AC are removed from the circuit. 5. The Charging current is determined by R(SET) on ISET1 pin and K(SET). The formulae (8) is given on page 24. Just replace V(SET-REG) by V(SET) = 2.5 V (page 5). 4. If the battery is absent, the BAT pin cycles between charge done (VO(REG)) and charging (battery refresh threshold, ~100 mV below VO(REG)). See Figure 11. Regards,
