We have been using the BQ20Z45 in a custom battery pack containing 2 x 2500mAh Li-Ion batteries. We have just made a small batch of battery packs, 60 pieces. 15 of these return the correct remaining capacity, and 45 return either 0% or 100% depending on whether register 0x0d or 0x0e is read.
The ones that return the incorrect value have the part marking: "BQ20Z45 18TG4 CEYP", but the ones that are correct have the part marking "BQ20X45 14TG4 AHSP"
Do you know the interpretation of these codes? I would guess that the "faulty" parts are the -R1 revision, which delays updating the Qmax value, but they were from the same lot, so if this is the case then we may have a supplier issue....
Any help you could provide would be most appreciated!
