bq20z75 V1.81 - DF Help text - where to find the html-file ?

Hi Kjell,

I have recently worked on the 20z75 and the documentation as you noted is not complete, despite my many repeated requests to TI to update the 20z75 documentation.

The best place to start is to read SLUA405, which is for the bq20z70, and also SLUU265A, and IMPORTANTLY SLUU411 which is the update to the 20z75 from V160 to V180/V181. V180 and V181 seem to be used synonymously as there appears to have been a revision number glitch at TI.  Also, when referring to the AFE, the documentation has been deprecated, and one has to refer to the BQ20z60 documents to find out the relevant parameters.

At the end of the day, the BqEasy has the most up to data parameter lists. Some are not actually document at all, and only can be found by hassling TI guys for the parameter meaning.

From my point of view the 20Z75 documentation is a bit of a mess, so if you need any specific I will help you as I can having gone through the exercise recently.

Thanks a lot for your comments and your advice. I have read some of your previous comments on the E2E community with interest.

What I am looking fore is the html help file for bq20z75 V 1.60 or V.1.81. I do not know if such a file exists. I have found the html help file for bq20z90 and I have worked around the problem renaming this file to DF_Help_Z70_RevC1.html and placing this file in the Documentation directory under Program Files. This works but of course the text is not always correct. It would be better to have the original DF Help for Z70 instead - if the file for Z75 is none existent. I have spent a lot of time searching on the TI web but I have not managed to find anything.

Do you get any information when selecting the Help Text? I received the bq20z70 help information on my bqEVSW. The help file was used on older devices, but we have deferred to using the TRM for data flash information more recently. I am sure that you have noticed that you can find conflicting data when the same information is published in multiple documents and locations. We may miss something when making updates, so the datasheet and TRM should be the reference material used for these devices.We are trying to reduce the number of locations that the same data is published.

Thanks for your answer. I see your point and I am using both the TRM and the Application Book a lot. But there are so many details to remember and somethimes it would be nice just to press the right button and have the html topic from the bq EVSW.

I am using EVSW version 09.79 and have no text at all.(I am missing the bq20z70.html file)  If you have this html- file I would very much appreciate if your could send me one since the .70 fits better to the .75 we are using than the .90 i am using pr now.
