Hi,

I've seen a few references to the UCD3138PSFBEVM-027 phase shifted full bridge eval board on the TI site, but it doesn't appear to be available yet? Any idea when the board will be available?

Any comments on utility/user friendliness etc of the Digital Power device eg UCD3138 in this application versus the analog application-specific controllers eg UCC28950?

    Paul,

    I am sorry you have had to wait so long for the PSFB EVM. The UCD3138PSFBEVM-027 Phase Shifted Full Bridge EVM will become available around the June time-frame. An exact release date has not yet been finalized.

    With regards to user-friendliness, we have worked hard to make sure the UCD3138 is as user-friendly as possible. We have several EVMs, User Guides, Sample-codes, and Training Labs to help get started with the device. However, that being said, please note that it is a digital device and is in a different category than it's analog counterparts. It will be necessary to have a firmware engineer, or someone well-versed in embedded processing in order to use this device to it's full potential.
