bq29330 / RC filter on VCx pins

Hi,

The typical application of bq29330 has RC filter on each VCx pins and capacitors connected between VCx pin and GND. Now our customer plan to configure RC filter like the picture on right-hand side in attached. Do you have any concern about this configuration?

why not use a z65, less real estate and more accurate gas gauging.?

Hi Eric-san,

Thank you for your advice. I will show bq20z65 as more accurate GG IC. Anyway bq20z65 also monitor cell voltage by VCx pins, then do you know if there is any concern by using the configuration of RC filter as attached in my first post?

the rc filter i believe should be kept as close as possible to what is on the recommended circuit from Ti.

It should be okay to place the filter capacitors between the cell voltage input pins on the bq29330 as shown on your drawing.
