About bq76pl536q1 supply voltage.

Hello.

I’m planning to use BQ76PL536Q1 IC in my system to monitor ultra capacitors stack that is connected to six cells serially.

One cell voltage is 2.7V. So nominal pack voltage is 16.2V.

When I considered this chip to my monitoring system, I found that  the  minimum IC supply voltage is around 7V.

I'm not sure, I can use this chip or not.

Becuse my monitoring system has to read voltage until 2V during the pack discharges.

I have another 12V for this IC, but ground should be conneced to VSS.

If the pack voltage is higher than 12V, I want to use the pack voltage.

And when the pack voltage drops under 12V, I want to use 12V.

To insert two reverse diode to the each power line is my plan.

Is it possible? If it possible or there is another way to solve it.

Please let me know.

Thanks and regards.
