TLV70033, OVP for Vin

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TLV700

Hello~

According to TLV70033's datasheet, Vin range is from 2.0V to 5.5V. (-0.3V to 6.0V at ABSOLUTE MAXIMUM RATINGS)

In order to protect the device against overvoltage higher than 6.0V, is TLV70033 able to support "Over-Voltage Protection" or "higher voltage input tolerance (non-operating)" for Vin??

Thanks... C.W. :)

  • Hi Chang-woo,

TLV700 should never have higher than 6V at the input pin at all times (operating or non-operating) to prevent damage to the part. How high of a voltage are you expecting in your applicaiton? It may be best to choose a higher rated input voltage LDO like the TPS70933 (30V abs max)?

    Regards,
