DCP021212U

Hi, i want to use a DCP021212U IC (SO-28 Package) as an Isolated Voltage Source for a HighSide-Fet application.

Im currently testing the Device and there is a problem:

The input Voltage is 12VDC but the Output Voltage on the output side is about 24V and should be 12V ,too.
I also checked the Device Description, its actually a DCP021212U (not DU or something elese).
The input Capacitor is 2.2uF and the output capacity is 0.33uF. Both Ceramic , placed close to the IC.

Is it possible, that the device is damaged somehow? I cant find any solutions in the datasheet.

Thanks for your support

  • DCP021212U is designed for 12V±0.6V Vout at load = 75% of 2W or 125mA with the input voltage =12V±1%. Under  no load condition, Vout can be  24V because the design has no internal feedback control circuit.

The DCP series not designed to drive a motor drive or  FET power device  when the output secondary circuitry  voltage  is greater than 42VDC. The absolute  maximum  input voltage to output voltage across the isolation barrier is not to exceed 60VAC or 42VDC.
