High side switch gate driver

Hi,

I would like to ask regarding the application of single output gate driver for high side switches.

According to SLUA669, there is Vbias1 needed to bias the high side gate signal up to the high voltage level. What is this bias supply's equivalent circuit or components needed for it?

    Hi,

    this is explained on page 2 of the application note. You need a voltage which will be higher than Vs + Vgs th. In many high side drivers, this is accomplished using a bootstrap circuit to generate the high voltage.
