Full charge capacity for bq34z100

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ34Z100

Hello everyone,

I am using the bq34z100 for a couple of weeks with the same battery with a DC of 6.8Ah and it seems that the more I use the

EVM the more the FCC increases. Indeed the SOH which is basically SOH = FCC/DC is 100% now and that was smaller at the early begining.

It's not that I'm complaining my battery can become younger days to days, but I am wondering how to come back reality ;)

I have something strange my Qmax value has never changed since the begining while it should update arround 20 cycle counts right ? Because I am at 31.

The battery is about two years old (nice baby!), and is included in the TI bqchem file, it is well functionning set apart the FCC and Qmax.

Can you see my config window attached, the other parameters should be right. My tests turn arround the evolution of the battery parameters with the temperature where the FCC changes then come back to a normal value at room temperature. So I am wondering how the first FCC during OCV is calculated, because the first value when we connect the battery seems to come from nowhere. Could my experiments make the FCC goes wrong ?

In the various data sheets I can find FCC = RM + Qstart + Passed_charge. It is difficult to know Qstart, it seems to be FCC(0) - RM(0) but

it doesn't help to find how the first FCC(0) is calculated.

Kind regards,

Michel
