 There are queries which need inputs from the company.

1)      Process technologies, eg. Bipolar or cmos or etc

    From the product page http://www.ti.com/product/tps54550 and the data sheet TPS54550, it does state that is has an integrated FET.  With all MOS technology, protection of the gates during handling from ESD is required.
