BQ24765 + BQ20Z95 + CPU on the same SMbus

Hi there,

I'm working on the charger design using the BQ24765 and the BQ20Z95 on the the battery pack. I've 2 charging/discharging situation as below:

1. The CPU will be the host controller to control BQ24765 when the system is power on and retrieve the information from battery pack through BQ20Z95 SMBus such fuel level, temperature and etc to program the BQ24765 charging current.

2. The BQ20Z95 on the battery pack will be the host controller - similar to App note SLUA533 when system CPU is totally turned off.

What will be the SMbus connection between the Host controller (In this case is the CPU) and the BQ24765 with the BQ20Z95?

Could I just tie up the SMbus CPU and BQ20Z95 and connect them to BQ24765?

Please advice.
