BQ51050BYFPR Footprint Symbol

Hi,

Kindly advise if there is a Cadence footprint available for BQ51050BYFPR (.sym and .dra).
Thanks.

Regards,

RVG

  • Hello RVG,

If the footprint turns out to be unavailable from TI, you can search Cadence footprints for the YFP (R-XBGA-N28). Or you can roll your own from the data sheet.

    Thanks,

  • Hi greenja,

The  R-XBGA-N28 is the YFF package, not the YFP package. What is the tolerance for the dimension of the IC? It is not indicated in the datasheet or the drawing.
Also, what is the recommended footprint?

    Regards,

    RVG

  • Sorry for the  mixup, your title and part number both indicated a YFP package.  I do not have the information on the YFF, but I would think your CAD would have a footprint for it.  You can search for the package details on the product information page.  They usually have the package information in the Sample and Buy section for the chip.

    Thanks,

  • Hi greenja,

The information which you've shared is in fact the YFF package. I needed the YFP package information actually. That Sample and Buy section did not indicate the D and E dimension and the tolerance.

  • Well, it looks like double mixup worked in your favor.

Yes, on some of the layouts you kind of have to figure out the dimension you need by calculation.  It gets to be a little frustrating at times.

You may want to contact TI sales directly if there is no reply in this forum.

    Thanks,
