Hello Rahil,

you could use the LM2841 to generate +9V@300mA and the TPS84259 to generate -9V@300mA.

Furthermore I suggest you to use WEBENCH with Power Architect tool to generate power designs.

Hello Rahil,

the two proposed solutions are different and both can work.

The TPS54160 is implementing a inverting buck-boost with couple inductor for extra rail, anyway the positive rail will have a voltage drop due to the extra diode.

The LM2733 is implement a SEPIC/CUK converter, it needs to use a 3 windings transformer but it does not have any voltage drop at the output.
