Hi,

     In the datasheet of TPS65142 it is mentioned that the Diming PWM signal can be in the range of 100hz to 1khz.And in the block diagram there is only dimming control and current regulator to which this PWM signal is fed.So my question is.

 

1.What frequencys is commonly choosen for PC LCD monitors.

2.If i choose 100hz wont this cause filcker on the screen at 100hz.Does the chip use any averaging technique internally to remove the flicker if any.

    Please excuse the extremely late response.

    1. Depends on the frequency which creates least issues on your specific screen.
    2. If your screen is a 100Hz screen, I would recommend to use another frequency for the dimming.
