bq34z100 setting NAC

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ27200

After running through the configuration of the dataflash and enabling impedance track the NAC is reading between 0-3% have a requirement to ship with gauge reading 30-50% is there a way to initialize NAC without having to run each pack thru a charge/discharge cycle? on the bq27200 there is a mode command to write ILMD to NAC anything similar here?

Thanks!

  • Matt,

We do not have the NAC command on the bq34z devices. The device will run an OCV simulation to estimate the Remaining Capacity and it should be accurate if the ChemID matches the cells. This measurement occurs after a reset and periodically during rest periods. What type of cells are you using? The accuracy is reduced when using cells with very flat voltage profiles such as LiFePO4, but it will be more accurate than what you are seeing. I would check the ChemID.
