Hi,

I have a question about dimming control on LM3404.

On my current design, DIM is controlled by 5V CMOS which is supplied from external power source(5V). However, on the block diagram, it is pulled-up to 5V internally at DIM. Is there any influence for wrap around a power supply?

Hello Hide,

The internal 5V at the DIM is basically there so that you don't need a pull up resistor and that it will keep the MOSFET on if input to the pin is lost. I'm not sure what you mean by "wrap around a power supply".
