How to send a End Power Transfert?

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ51013A

Hi,

Sorry for my english, but I don't understand how to send a "End Power Transfer with Charge complete"?? I use a BQ51013EVM-725 and a BQ500210EVM-689

if the TS pin is connect to the gnd, I have the red led on the BQ500210EVM-689!!!

I just want to send a End Power Transfert : charge complete with the BQ51013EVM-725 and watch the green led on the transmitter

Thanks for your help

  • The TS pin can be used to send two types of End Power Transfer commands. One is Overtemp Fault, EPT03 and the other is charge complete EPT01 see table 2 in the data sheet.

A low voltage at the TS pin is an overtemp and it will set a fault condition on the Transmitter.  This is the Red led that you observed when the pin is grounded.

If the pin is pulled high it will send a charge complete (EPT01).  A high is typically the battery voltage of 4.2V.

Also see bq51013A device. This may be a better device to use for production, but PCB changes are required.

  • Hi Bill,

    Thanks for your help

  • Hello,

What is the best solution you have right now for wireless charging (Transmitter and Receiver)?

I saw some products on you website but there are lot of options but i dun know which is you latest and best one, which needs less circuitry other then the IC itself.

    Thank you
