I have tested the TPS2511 usb charger circuit using a solar panel(12V) and a car battery (12V).
When connected to solar panel, the phone charges as normal.
When connected to car battery, it shifts from charging to discharging modes very frequent and does not charge at all. What can cause this issue and what circuits can i use to fix this problem? A TL2575 12V to 5V regulator circuit powers the TPS2511.
Could this caused by the input current? ( but there is a current limit resistor to control charging current ).
Please help.
