My problem is quite brief but I haven't been able to figure it out. I am replicating the circuit (though not fully) of the bq51013evm-725 on a custom PCB, I did not however include the R3 temperature resistor and instead used a 20 kOhm resistor in between vtsb and ts/ctrl and a 10 kOhm between ts/ctrl and ground as described by bq5101 data sheet. Any time we place the coil on the transmitter (bq500210evm-689) (same coil used in the receiver eval board ) the status LED flashes red. Based on what the transmitter is doing and what the data sheet describes my assumption is that the transmitter is either sensing a thermal problem or possibly that the receiver is not giving the okay to charge the battery. It seems like there are two functionalities for the ts/ctrl pin, is there a possibility I am doing the wrong one?
Thanks,
