UCC28950 / TMIN restriction

Hi,

I'd like to ask about TMIN restriction.

In datasheet P.18, there is note about TMIN restriction, "The minimum allowed resistor on TMIN, RTMIN is 13 kΩ(TMIN=100ns)."

(But Figure10 indicate minimum RTMIN down to 5kΩ.)

If customer doesn't fulfill that restriction,what is occur?

I want to know the background about this restriction.

Please follow me, if possible.

The 13K minimum requirement is correct, figure 10 is in error.

If Rtmin is less than 13K the ton min function will not work correctly.

Hi,

Thank you for the reply.

My customer asked the restriction about the resistor range about RAB and RCD, REF.

Does deviation from the restriction(13kΩ to 90kΩ) set the delay uncorrectly?

Hello Yaita,

The data sheet gives a recommendation for Rtmin. If you use the Device in this range the part will perform per data sheet. If you use the device outside of this range I have not idea how the part will behave or note behave and TI does not guarantee the devices performance.
