TPS65910A3 vs TPS65910A31 for AM335x

Hi,

I want to use TPS65910Ax PMIC to power AM335x with DDR3, i notice that there are two devices on this family that supports AM335x and DDR3:

TPS65910A3 and TPS65910A31

In "TPS65910Ax User's Guide For AM335x Processors" i found that the only difference between the two is the VRTC LDO state in PMIC OFF state.

On the TPS65910A3 VRTC LDO is shut off when PMIC is in OFF state

On the TPS65910A31 VRTC LDO is ON when PMIC is in OFF state

I'm right? Are there other differences?

VRTC is on in both EEPROM but the max load capapbility is different.

A3:- VRTC is in lowe power menas max load that i can handle is few uAs of load.

A31: VRTC is in high power mode when PMIC is off menas it can handle up to few mA load.

What is the maximum current that can be provided by TPS65910A3 VRTC ? ot Can it drive both Boot pins (4.5 *2 = 9 uA) by this TPS65910A3?

Sorry for the delay.

In regards to your question: from datasheet, the rated output current for VRTC in Back-up mode is 100 uA, so it should be able to handle the 9 uA from the BOOT pins.
