We have an application using the TPS51200 for DDR3 VREF and VTT termination. It looks like we are going to drive all three High Performance memory banks of a Xilinx Kintex device with two Micron MT41J128M16 1333MHz parts and one bank with a Micron MT41K256M8 1600MHz memory using just a single TPS51200 part for all the VREF and VTT supplies. I can’t remember how to calculate the expected maximum results. My gut feeling is we will be alright as it appears there is 4.5A source and 5.5A sink current max of the part and I think maybe if we hit maximum read/writes all at once we could theoretically hit A’s of current but this typically shouldn’t happen. Can someone verify that this configuration will work? Also, what is the vref max supply current?
